This movie was nominated for 5 Oscars including Best Actor for Johnny Depp. The story follows the adventures living the blacksmith Will Turner and the eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow to rescue Elizabeth Swann, daughter of the governor of Port Royal, who has been kidnapped by the crew damn pirate ship Black Pearl, captained by Hector Barbossa

 The story is set in San Vicente y las Granadinas and sets built in Los Angeles, California between October 2002 until March 2003

The Director

The film was directed by Gore Verbinski, debuted as director with the comedy Mouse Hunt. Following this work, directed The Mexican. But his rise to fame came with the trilogy of Pirates of the Caribbean

  The Actors

Captain Jack Sparrow: (Johnny Depp) eccentric pirate known for his wobbly gait, speech and whisper almost continuous hand gestures. He has earned a reputation with invented stories of how he escaped from a desert island where he was abandoned. He is determined to regain his ship, Black Pearl, which he captained ten years before and lost after a riot.

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) a blacksmith's apprentice working in Port Royal and is in love with Elizabeth Swann, The success of the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings and Black Hawk Down transformed Bloom from an unknown actor into one of the best known celebrities around the world. In 2002 he was elected to Teen People in "The Sexiest Stars under 25" and was named by People as the single most beautiful in the 2004 list

 Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) daughter of Governor Weatherby Swann, Elizabeth loves the world of piracy as a child. During the attack of the Black Pearl to Port Royal, said that his last name is Turner and is mistaken for the daughter of "Bootstrap" Bill.

She was released thanks to his co-starring role in British social comedy Bend It Like Beckham in 2002.

Rose to stardom in 2003 by participating in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Gore Verbinski, the role of Elizabeth Swann. Co-starred with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. The film entered the list of highest grossing films in history and made Keira a hit-girl.

Then she participated in the British romantic comedy Love Actually (2003). His next film was King Arthur, 2004, in which he played in Geneva. For this role had to take fighting lessons and horse riding.
